"Ask him for some wealth distribution."

Images (via the Vega Film website) from Jean-Luc Godard's new feature Socialisme [Socialism], coming in 2009:

(Shot in 1.85, for re-framing in 1.37? Or shot for 1.85?) —

"If you ask me, Africa's jumped the gun all over again."

"Maternal blood, full of hate, loves and coexists."

"You either follow the laws, or you break them."

"My heart's not in my mouth."

"I'll attack the sun too if one day it attacks me."

"What's different these days is that the bastards are sincere."

  1. Surely Godard could make room for a scene featuring Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber? Maybe have him read and riff on something by Bakunin? Just for laughs, you understand. We American's do love ourselves some laughter.

  2. Is this film finished? Why is JLG waiting so much? I'm still curious about what can he do after "Histoire(s) du Cinéma" other than footnotes to it.
