Jean-Paul Belmondo (1933-2021)

"In his heyday Belmondo effortlessly combined intelligence and experimentation with commerciality, and star power. The cinema was becoming fragmented then, too, but his presence pulled it all together. RIP." —A. S. Hamrah

RIP Belmondo, justly celebrated among his Godards for Breathless and Pierrot le fou, but there's also A Woman Is a Woman; pleasure to watch him and Brialy and Karina work off one another. The egg has fallen.
