I wrote a short piece about Josef von Sternberg's great 1932 Blonde Venus at The MUBI Notebook here. Blonde Venus plays on Sunday July 31st and Monday August 1st as part of a double-bill with John Francis Dillon's 1932 Call Her Savage.
